                    ICT4 with the subject description" INTERNET AND THE WORLD WIDE WEB"started last November 5, 2012 with a very pretty, energetic and a good teacher  Ms. Sarah Jean A. Gavile(http:/allhonestreviews.blogspot.com) at 207 room  "COM LAB" at the 2nd floor of Philippine College of Technology.

           

              For me, this subject was really interesting to know most, its because of the high technology we have right now...Honestly, i learn more in this subject like how to blog, the correct format of posting blog,how to create our gmail account and to create a circle with in ICT 4...Also during our  discussion like about the history of the Internet  which began with the development of electronic computers in the 1950s. This began with point-to-point communication between  mainframe computers and terminals,expanded to point-to-point connections between computers and then early research into packet switching.The ARPANET in particular led to the development of protocols for inter-networking, where multiple separate networks could be joined together into a network of networks.Facebook  is a social networking service, launched on February 2004,owned and operated by Facebook Inc. as of September 2012.It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg with College roommates and Harvard Universities students Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Maskovits and Curis Hughes.

Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read text based messages of up to 140 characters known as "tweets'.It is created in March 2006 noted as "SMS OF THE INTERNET".Google founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Stanford University,it is an American Multinational Corp. which provides internet related products and services.Instagram  is a free photo sharing program,launched on October 2010.It enables to take photo,apply a digital filler and then share it,supported by an iPod,iPhone and iPod touch and supported for Android camera phones(April 2012)...development began in San Francisco with Kevin Systrom and the Brazillian Michel 'Mike" Krieger.Foursquare  it is a locatrion-based networking website for mobile devices such as smart phones,created in 2009 by Dennis Crowley and Naveen Selvadurai.On April 2012 there are 20million registers.World Wide Web  is a system of hyperlinked hypertxt documents, accessed via internet.

               As a BS Tourism student, i can apply all my learnings and knowledge about this subject ICT4 " INTERNET AND WORLD WIDE WEB" in my daily living,in my daily life style. Especially,sooner if i got a job in connection with my course...dealing with different races of people..

               I am very much thankful to our ICT teacher Ms. Sarah Jean Gavile(http:/allhonestreviews.blogspot.com) for the great patience you showed to us while teaching us all this things,all this learning’s/knowledge and everything  we've got now and to all my classmates who participated well and who are very much willing to gain  more knowledge and skills and must be updated of everything..thank you:) i love this subject...

 "Silicon Valley" is a name given to cities just south of San Francisco.

                In the late 1970s and early 1980s, plenty of high-tech companies were located , and used silicon semiconductors. So the title is sort of relevant to Apple Computers, which is in Cupertino California. It's not relevant to Microsoft, which started out in New Mexico and moved to Washington.

       Most entrepreneurial activity is context-specific. But if there is one entrepreneurship movie that students from all across the world can find interesting it is Pirates of Silicon Valley (1999).                                       
 This movie is a fictionalized account of the early professional lives of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, two men who made the technology world what it is today.

    The movie presents their struggles during college, the humble beginnings of their companies (Microsoft and Apple respectively) and the ingenuity that took them from where they were to where they are now.

              Hello!  I'm Jen ..... and i want to share some ideas about the problem i experienced and i have a solution for this.Now, this is my problem; How to find Universities/Colleges with their corresponding courses in a very convenient way??

      ----My solution for this is to download an app. in your mobile phone, which is Universities/Colleges Locator.com....You don't need to inquire in every school or search all the school in your computer with their corresponding courses that you want. You just click the App. you downloaded in  your mobile phone  and you see all the schools with their courses offered, also you can view their all the information that you want in that specific school like the requirements ,the processes during enrollment,the process of payments and everything...

              

               I can assure you that this App. could help ,especially for the students during the time of enrollment and for the parents who is searching school where their children fit.

          This App. is really "Hassle Free".

My first experience during the PCT FOUNDATION as an USHER

                               Last December 2012 at Philippine College of Technology was the day that i would never  forget...  that day was really my  first memorable experience being one of the usherette of the school..We are tasks to welcome guest and visitors from different schools and the expected  people on that day, in short we are  the front liners.Together with my co-usher we do the task being told with our mentor.We welcome and always wear a smile in our faces and greet them pleasantly,"Good morning mam,Good morning sir" "WELCOME TO PHILIPPINE COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY". Ang sarap pala ng feeling when those people wear a smile  in respond with your greetings and say,"Good morning too and thank you for a nice welcome"...

          That was really great experience for all of us....

       I am Jenyline Compra, 19 yrs. old ,came from Kiblawan Davao del Sur, Philippines. Iam a 2nd yr BsTourism Management student of Philippine College of  Technology.. Born on July13,1993,daughter of  Mrs. Evangeline Takiawan Compra and Mr. Leonardo Sencio Compra.I have four sisters and one brother.

      I am so greatful to have my family ,they  are so much understanding and loving family ever, no word  i could ever express just the word "thank you" to them ,its because they made me what i am right now and i know with out them i am also nothing.Honestly, we are really poor but our parents made their best just to send us all to school and finished our studies.Because for them, this is the only thing they can devise to us, whenever they've gone.ILOVE them so much !!!

      As of now, i am staying in my ate here in  davao while pursuing my studies.I have the courage to face all the challenges in life just to reach my really goal to finish and to have a better job after this..so that in that way i could help my family especially financially.

          I  really hope i can do this all .. I am so thankful also for having a very supportive family ,they are my strength and inspiration...
